L'Aurora is the quiet one. A short, sheer, perfectly-cut fingertip veil that lets the dress lead and the bride's face be the focus — the most popular piece in the collection, and the one we recommend when in doubt.
The hem is hand-rolled in the same technique we use on the cathedral pieces — three folds, by hand, finished so finely that it is no thicker than the silk itself. A bad rolled hem looks like fishing line; a great one disappears.
We use the softest grade of Caudry silk for L'Aurora because the veil is so unembellished that any stiffness in the fabric reads. It is meant to feel like nothing on the head.
L'Aurora ends just past the fingertips when arms are at the sides — the proportion that flatters the broadest range of dresses without overwhelming any of them.
Short enough to be practical at the reception, long enough to read as a true veil during the ceremony.
