The longest piece we make. La Cattedrale is a hundred and eight inches of French silk tulle, hand-trimmed in vintage Chantilly, designed to move when you turn — a river of fabric that is most of what people remember about the moment you walked in.
It is the heaviest commission in the Signature Collection, but it doesn't feel that way. The silk is woven on Leavers looms in Caudry, France that have been running since 1898 — soft enough to fall like water, structured enough to hold the shape of the cathedral arch behind you.
The trim takes longer than the cutting. Four thousand whip-stitches, by hand, over three weeks of work at a single artisan's table. None of it shows in the finished piece. That is the point.
La Cattedrale falls roughly three feet past the train of most gowns — a long sweep that trails behind you down the aisle and arranges itself around your feet as you turn.
This is the longest tier in the collection. Designed for grand venues — cathedrals, palazzi, sweeping ceremonies where the architecture asks for something that matches it.
